Girl Child Initiative is a non-government organization based in Uganda.We are for charity. Our major goal is to help the vulnerable girl child realize her dream through our empowerment programs like education sponsorship, mentoring, and health coaching. We primarily focus on educating and empowering underprivileged young girls in public primary and secondary schools. Our mandate is to empower and sensitize a girl child in both countries in primary and secondary schools as they approach puberty. We buy sanitary pads for all of them who cannot afford them. Most of them use tissue paper and rags to soak the blood when their period starts, and this, as we know, is very unhygienic and unhealthy for them. They come from very humble backgrounds, and they cannot afford sanitary pads, so we want to help them with a token gift of sanitary pads for all the girls in the public primary and secondary schools from the selected schools in the countries where we work.
