SUPPORT US
Girl Child Initiative.
Eight years ago, a dream was born. It was a dream to see an empowered, bold, informed, and fearless girl child in south-western Uganda. The dream has grown as far as the war-torn Eastern DRC.
By 2022, an estimated 14% of adolescent girls in East and Central Africa were exposed to early sex and, subsequently, early pregnancies and marriage. 50% of these lack exposure to sanitation and health issues like menstruation. 98% of these dropped out of school, and as such, they were subjected to an uncertain future devoid of opportunities like other children elsewhere. As such, in collaboration with friends and partners, we started a drive to engage, sensitize, empower, and support the African girl child to stay in school, have access to quality education, sexual, mental, and physical education, mentoring, sanitary ware like pads, sports, and overall equal opportunities for the girl child. We believe that the social, economic, and political fabrics of any society are only as strong and enduring as the women therein, and it is our civic duty to ensure the girl child is not left behind. We look forward to your support and guidance in ensuring we leave no girl child behind going forward. Thank you.
